Draft Card Pool Changes: Homefront – Early War

Greetings, Commanders!

Homefront – Early War has arrived, and the frontline is shifting once again. We’ve been watching the opening battles closely as new Early War units and tactics enter the field, opening up fresh lines of play across the board.

Alongside the release, we’re also deploying an update to the Draft card pool. This pass lightly reins in Britain’s Draft strength, while giving Germany and Japan a bit more room to operate.

Draft Pool Changes

With the Air Supremacy release last fall, we introduced a major change to Draft mode: a dedicated Draft card pool. This lets us tune Draft balance independently from constructed play. If you missed that earlier briefing, you can find it here:

That system is built around two tools:

• Draft-only allowed cards - cards kept in the Reserve pool for PvP, but specifically permitted in Draft.

• Draft-specific bans - cards legal in the active card pool, but blocked from appearing in Draft.

With Homefront – Early War, we’re executing the next set of adjustments. This refresh reshuffles which cards are:

• Not available in Draft, even if they’re available in other PvP modes

• Available in Draft, even if they’re normally in Reserve elsewhere

Note: Unless specifically listed below, cards in the Reserve pool do not appear in Draft, and cards in the active card pool do appear in Draft.
